At Precision Racing we pride ourselves on making our customers feel welcomed and to work and race in a friendly atmosphere. Here are a few statements some of our customers and sponsors have said about us:
I found Precision Racing after an internet search. We were competing in Jnr TKM at Ellough Park, Lewis had won his first meeting but we had hit a wall knowledge. I didn’t feel we could make the progression Lewis was looking for and of course "anything that went wrong was my entire fault" and generally it was! It wasn’t for the lack of trying but I had to do something to carry on enjoying karting again. This was my third venture into the sport, the first being the early 70’s, the second was the early to mid-1990’s. This 3rd spell was all about Lewis taking part. Following in my footsteps.
We arranged for Jake Coward to help us out at the next Ellough meeting which was a double header so he was able to see Lewis and work for improvements over a full weekend. Jake took time to talk to Lewis, walk the track and set the Kart up for the conditions. By the end of the weekend Lewis was ½ a second quicker per lap and collected his next trophy. Lewis and I first meet Carl Bagley at Rye House in 2013 as we went down to watch the historic karting meeting. Jake continued to improve Lewis’s race craft and we went on to win the Jnr TKM title in 2013.
2014 was a completely new challenge for Lewis as Jake wanted Lewis to get more seat time and step up to 2 meetings a month, TKM at Ellough and Jnr Rotax at 3 Sisters. This was when Carl became more involved. Lewis Progressed through MSA novice and up to National ‘A’ grade over the coming months.
2014 cumulated with Lewis Winning back to back Ellough Park Jnr TKM titles, The Jnr Rotax Rookie title at 3 Sisters, and 2nd in the TKM festival cup. But it was through Jake and Carl’s guidance that for me, one particular race win was to show just how far Lewis had progressed. It was heat one of the final round at 3 Sisters in Jnr Rotax that Lewis turned on the style winning by three and a half seconds and posting the fastest lap. Unfortunately heat 3 saw a battery failure. But Lewis starting the final on row four he progressed to finish the final in 4th picking up another trophy.
Jake and Carl at Precision Racing have an unflappable approach to race days, this combined with a wealth of driving / mechanical knowledge means you’re really in safe hands, of course at the end of the day it’s all down the driver in the seat! And him or her putting what they have be told in to practice. If you listen you will improve.
Another aspect of Precision Racing is that they win and lose with their drivers as a team. The awning atmosphere is always positive whatever the outcome.
My whole objective was to have Lewis take part in Karting and build up memories of our time together and for him to cherish for the rest of his life! As I most certainly will. Precision Racing have all the ethic’s for honest racing , coaching, and mechanical services at whatever level you wish to obtain. Thank you guys.
From the outset Precision Racing have been professional, approachable, encouraging and honest. Big words, but being complete novices, we, as a family had endless questions and concerns regarding all aspects of karting and from our very first email contact in May 2014 to present day Jake and Carl have always been there with advice, support and technical expertise, whether trackside, on the phone or by email.
It was very important for our karting adventure to be a ‘whole family’ experience as well as bringing out the best in 12 year old Robert. At the end of our first test day with them at Hooton Park it was no coincidence that we came away feeling positive for the future while having had a lot of fun. As parents, it was reassuring how they took the time to get to know Roberts character and individually tailor their approach to his coaching. In his own words on the 6 hour journey home Robert said ‘he listened to Jake and Carl because he trusted they could make him better.’
Since then we have become part of the Precision Racing ‘family’, racing in Non MSA events at Ellough Park where Robert managed a very respectable 4th place and top novice in the Junior TKM Championships and with Jake and Carls help Robert has just passed his ARKS test. We now look forward to facing a challenging 2015, continued fun and success, being part of the Precision Racing Team story.
I joined Precision Racing having seen them in the paddock. Jake and Carl are friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. The cost of the awning space and their help is very reasonable compared to other teams. I would recommend them to anyone who is starting out in karting as their driver programme, help and support is invaluable. If you have been karting for some time their awning set up is excellent and there is always a good atmosphere in the awning.
I got in contact with Precision Racing after spotting their awning at Septembers MBKC meeting and finding their website online. I’d been looking into getting into Karting and needed some solid advice on where to start, and what to buy. They told me they could offer an introduction day into competitive 2 stroke race karting at Hooton with their Kart, all I’d need was a Helmet. I booked in a 2 day weekend with the team and have never looked back! The team was excellent, extremely helpful and highly supportive! They where particularly good at dealing with my little to no knowledge background, explaining everything clearly and simply for me. Jake’s driver coaching proved invaluable and has saved me god knows how much time in improving my pace and overall race craft, and as I result I feel confident and prepared for the coming season, couldn’t recommend them enough!
After having some time out of MSA racing due to finances I have recently rejoined the fantastic Precision Racing team. The atmosphere within the team awning is brilliant. Jake & Carl are friendly and approchable and will go the extra mile to help you develop as a driver. I would fully recommend their team services, be it just awning space or full kart prep and mechanic, Precision Racing is where to go.
This year we have been in the Precision awning using the Gold Kart chassis. We found that being in the awning with Jake and Carl gave us the extra valuable knowledge regarding kart setup and race technique. Every race meeting you are learning all the time, you never stop learning from a team that runs very professional, with a calm and relaxed atmosphere in the awning.
With regards to the Gold Kart chassis: It was so easy to set up and it handed very well on the track in both the dry and wet conditions. It helped us to finish the championship in second position in our first season in the senior TKM from moving up from the juniors. We are hopefully look forward to running again with Precision Racing in 2012 and wish the team the very best in the future.
A decision was made to run with Precision Racing for the weekend to refresh and get myself back up to speed. What a move that turned out to be, running quickest in testing. Race day came along with promise with a heat win and 4th in the final collecting my first ever trophy as a qualified driver and first ever heat win. Relaxed and professional approach put me at ease with set up knowledge second to none. Precision Racing really got me to the right place just when i almost gave up with karting. Fully recommended.
I have always found Precision Racing to be a fantastic team to spend a race weekend with. They go about their business in a very thorough manner, never fussy but always spot on. Their relaxed, good humoured approach makes the weekend a fun experience and the spacious awning makes life very comfortable no matter what the weather. I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to precision, they will get the best out of kart and driver every time.
I was with precision racing for the latter part of 2009. I have enjoyed the friendly relaxed atmosphere in the awning and the help and advice in setting up the kart and driving technique have been invaluable resulting in my first race win and trophy at Hooton in November's meeting.
Last year was a huge success for my first season with Precision Racing, achieving numerous race wins and lap records. This was due to the great encouragement and support from Jake, Carl, Ste, Sarah and the rest of the team drivers. I am confident for the forthcoming season, including NKRA and the “O”plate and am hoping for even more success in the future with Precision Racing.
Since running out of the Precision Racing awning in 2009, the help of Jake & Carl on setup and driving style has improved my pace to now be quick enough for podium finishes. Jake's championship winning knowledge in TKM is second to none, and with the added bonus of being in the awning alongside one of the best TKM drivers in the country, Phil Smith, I'm looking forward to a successful 2010 season with the team.
I have had a fantastic first season with Precision Racing and I have achieved some fantastic results throughout the year with some impressive pace. The guys are really friendly and give great advice during a race weekend. None of my first year successes would be possible without Precision Racing and I am now looking forward to the 2010 racing season with the team.
Precision Racing have this year helped me to win the MBKC TKM Extreme championship and prestigious events such as the Gold Cup, Platinum Cup and most recently the Grosvenor Cup. The atmosphere in the awning is second to none, a friendly yet focused attitude is one of the differences that I feel sets Precision Racing apart from other teams and the success I and my team mates have had throughout the year prove that the guys are a force to be reckoned with.
